The Philippines, held on last days of July its 1st<\/sup> at Mt. Saint Paul\u2019s Retreat House La Trinidad, Benguet, with the theme \u201cDestined for Youth\u201d. Inspired by God\u2019s call to spread the light of Jesus to guide the path of the Youth, 30 Guides from Philippines North and Philippines South gather to experience, listen, discuss, plan strategies and pray for the youth. The camp aims to answer these 2 main challenges: How can we effectively guide the youth and promote youth workshops? And aside from the workshops, what services could we offer for the youth? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Yvone Chua and Melissa Boado, youth leaders, presented different generations of youth and their qualities and behavior to help us understand the youth of today. It was indeed very helpful for planning the right approach to Filipino youth, specifically Young adults and teens. Some Youth guides shared songs, youth activities and tips on how prepare and give talks, and other ideas which other guides can adapt for their youth ministry. Bro. Domingo Mendoza, Jr. \u2013 Zone Asia Coordinator introduced the PLW Adolescents and PLW Children workshops for the teams to work on.<\/p>\n

One of the main highlights of the camp is creation of teams for PLW Youth. The Guides were given time to reflect and decide what team they would like to join:<\/p>\n

Promotions team \u2013 group of artist and techie person to create promo ads, videos, flyers and audio visual presentation to promote Youth workshops and other activities.<\/p>\n

Talk team (Tambuli ng PLW) \u2013 group of youth formators, motivators and teachers will equip guides with skills \u2018How to\u2019s\u2019<\/em><\/strong> : How to be an effective youth guide in giving Youth Workshops (Young Adult, Adolescents, including Children), create modules and help guides on how to give talks, retreats, and recollection for the youth. They also will help Guides to effectively promote.<\/p>\n

Translation Team (Tagapagsalin) \u2013 They are responsible for the translation and review of English materials to Tagalog and other Filipino dialects.<\/p>\n

Creatives Team \u2013 the group will evaluate, study and work for the development of the Youth workshops and think of youth activities to enhance and to better promote the workshops.<\/p>\n

We are looking forward to have Final Edition of PLW Kabataan (PLW Young Adult Workshop – Tagalog version), promo ads, and edited PLW Adolescents Workshop English materials incorporated with appropriate songs and prayers to be ready for DFS on November 16-19, 2018.<\/p>\n

We pray that we will continue to work inwardly to become a good example and work together in PLW mission to fulfill Fr. Ignacio\u2019s dream to have more youth workshops and youth guides in the near future.<\/em><\/p>\n
