From February 13th to 16th, the Europe Zonal Team accompanied the National Team of Italy to Sardinia to visit the various Nuclei located on this beautiful Mediterranean island.
On the afternoon of the 13th, they visited the Alghero Nucleus to celebrate a beautiful ceremony for Rita Fenu and Battista Rondello. This married couple pioneered the expansion of PLW (Prayer and Life Workshops) in this area and continued teaching workshops until last year. They shared a photo album of the entire Fenu family with Father Ignacio in various locations across Italy through this past year. It was a great gift from the Lord to attend their celebration as Guides emeritusa title that takes on its full meaning with this couple who, despite their age, continue to live the PLW spirituality and serve as “Elder Siblings” to the Guides of this Nucleus. On February 14th and 15th, both Teams held meetings for prayer and organizational work. There was also a beautiful fraternal gathering with the Guides from Cagliari and Nuoro. They shared intimate and deep prayer; though spoken in different languages, it connected the core of their hearts to our Father God. They shared a common dedication to remaining faithful to the PLW mission, everyone “rowing in the same direction.” The chosen meeting place was the Oasis of Saint Ignatius of Laconi, run by the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Special thanks to Br. Ugo, a Guide from Cagliari, for his generosity and hospitality as the director of the center.
An Evangelizing Couple, Manuel and Cristina, along with a future Evangelizing Couple from Nuoro, spent time in prayer and preparation over the Manual. Great help for the Balia couple, Gosia and Antonio.
